Our Identity
Deep Community
In God’s church, His children find the belonging and intimacy for which they were created. The church is not just a gathering of people—it is a sacred space where heaven and earth meet. As Scripture declares, “This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven” (Genesis 28:17).
In a world marked by loneliness, spiritual disillusionment, and fractured community, we long to build a house where people in Denver can experience true communion with God and one another. At Christ the King, this is found in our life of sacramental, Spirit-filled worship, prayer, and fellowship—a shared table where all are invited to feast in God’s presence.
Real Formation
In God’s church, His children are nurtured and shaped by the truth of the Gospel. In a world where shifting ideologies and digital noise constantly seek to reshape us, we long to build a house where men, women, and children can be “transformed by the renewal of their minds” (Romans 12:2).
This transformation happens as we drink deeply from the well of God’s unchanging Word, allowing our imaginations and affections to be formed by the Kingdom of God. At Christ the King in Denver, we are committed to upholding historic, biblical Christianity and passing that faith on to the next generation through deep discipleship, catechesis, and spiritual formation.
Generous Mission
In God’s church, His children are sent into the world to do good works. God did not wait for us to find our way home—He left His glory to seek the lost and provide for the hungry. In the same way, He calls His people to go out in the power of the Holy Spirit.
The house of God is a house on mission. At Christ the King in Denver, we seek to be a community that overflows with works of justice and mercy in our city and beyond. We are also committed to raising up servant leaders who will impact their neighborhoods and help plant new churches, for “the harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few” (Matthew 9:37).
Our Calling
We are a community inviting people to encounter God and join Him in renewing all things.
At Christ the King Anglican Church in Denver, we believe that in Jesus Christ, God has entered our world and is drawing all His children home through the power of the Holy Spirit. Our church is a place where people from all walks of life and every stage of faith can encounter the living God and find a true spiritual home in His Church. Together, we are a community on a shared journey of growing deeper in faith, hope, and love.
Our Anglican Tradition
To be an Anglican…
is not to embrace a distinct version of Christianity, but a distinct way of being a “Mere Christian,” at the same time evangelical, apostolic, catholic (kata – holos – universal), reformed, and Spirit-filled. We belong to a world-wide Anglican Communion, constituting the third largest Christian body globally.
Anglicanism is a Christian tradition that emerged from the practices, liturgy, and identity of the Church of England following the Protestant Reformation of the 16th century. The Anglican Church has a rich tradition of making disciples around the world and now includes some 85 million members in more than 165 countries.
Also called the Anglican Communion, the Anglican Church is made up of 40 global member Provinces. The provinces are subdivided into dioceses, and the dioceses into parishes. All of the provinces are autonomous, free to make decisions in their own ways. The Diocese of the Rocky Mountains (DRM) belongs to the province of The Anglican Church in North America (ACNA).
Christ The King Anglican Church is grounded in the historic interpretation of the Christian Bible—which is summarized in the words of the Apostles’ and Nicene Creeds.
Our particular theological convictions are expressed in the 39 Articles of the Anglican Communion.
